"Heartfire" is an octagonal platform that invites the audience to engage with the setting by means of laying, lingering and (day)dreaming on the structure. The installation therefore becomes a center for encounters and dialogues within a natural environment. "Heartfire" is installed amidst rigid lines of planted trees in a geometric composition that resembles architectural columns of the public baths where the sculpture refers to. The arched, green foliage evaporates scattered rays of sunlight, similar to the effect obtained by the stained glass domes of Hammams. The soil underneath the platform is covered with a tapestry of soft humus. The atmosphere becomes an inviting setting for scenting the smoke from the central firepit, ultimately evoking the steam and mist that imbues the Turkish bath houses.
